The Wizard of Oz

A 1939 American musical fantasy film produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The Wizard of Oz film is based on the 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. Victor Fleming directed the film, though he left the production before it was completed. It tells the tale of a young girl who finds herself whisked away to a magical land where she learns there is no place like home.
