On day 55 of my Final Fantasy marathon, I beat the final boss using a party of Ceodore, Cecil, Yang, Ursula, and Golbez. Today, I’m attempting to beat the final boss again using a different party.

Destroying the creator part four

Today’s party features:

• Ursula – level 59
• Porom – level 29
• Ceodore – level 69
• Palom – level 33
• Luca – level 62

This party has a nice balance of physical attackers and a strong white and black mage, though Porom and Palom are quite underleveled at the start. By the time they master their bands, they are at level 62, 43, 71, 45, and 65.

My first attempt at the Creator did not go well. Even the second phase was a challenge, though I did get past it.

Their big weapon is Makeshift Cannon, which starts off doing 60k+ damage. However, it requires all five party members to be alive, have enough MP and not be disabled by a status effect.

Between the Creator using osmose to steal my MP and the status effects, the second round was a struggle and then the party just wasn’t able to withstand the Creator’s attacks in the third round. I leveled them to 65, 50, 73, 51, and 67.

Phase 1 and 2 went smoothly, but they couldn’t all stay in condition to use Makeshift Cannon in stage 3 or stay alive long enough for their secondary attacks to take the Creator down. I leveled them to 68, 55, 75, 56, and 69.

At this point, Porom learned Curaja, which was an aid in keeping the party alive and Palom had Flare, which allowed him to do some damage on his own when I needed Porom to heal, and thus couldn’t use Makeshift Cannon.

In the final stage of the fight, I used one Makeshift Cannon to start, doing 70k+ damage, and then used Delta Evolution, which did about 30k+ damage from there until the end of the battle. While they were still alive, I used Porom to heal the party and Palom to Dualcast Flare.

Once Porom got KO’d, I relied on tossing X-potions or Elixers as needed and then just hit it with Delta Evolution until it went down. Tomorrow, I’ll move on to the next party.
