On day 57 of my Final Fantasy marathon, I started a party that included Tsukinowa, Rydia, Ceodore, Palom, and Edward. Today, I’m taking on the Creator with this party.

Destroying the Creator part five

When I finished mastering this group’s bands, they were at the following levels:

• Tsukinowa – 43
• Rydia – 74
• Ceodore – 77
• Palom – 60
• Edward – 42

I didn’t expect to defeat the creator at this point, but I gave it a shot anyway. Their Rapid Fire band did only 15k damage in round one, so I abandoned it in favor of having Tsukinowa and Ceodore attack, Edward use Bardsong, Rydia summon Bahamut, and Palom dualcast Flare.

Rydia was doing 7-9k damage per hit and Palom about 12k – 14k, Ceodore added about 4k and Tsukinowa around 2k. They managed to get to round three, but couldn’t hold up against the Creator’s magic.

I leveled them up to 51, 77, 80, 64, and 50 and they did a little better, but not much. At 55, 79, 82, 67, and 55 they once again fell in the third round.

Finally, at 60, 82, 84, 70, and 60 they just barely survived the third round, with Ceodore being the last man standing with 100 and some change in HP. Fortunately, the party gets completely revived before the fourth round.

This time, I had Ceodore and Tsukinowa attacking, Rydia summoning Bahamut, Palom dualcasting Flare, and Edward using his salve ability to throw X-potions at everyone. I lost Tsukinowa early on and never managed to get him back on his feet.

Rydia also was dead for several rounds, but I did manage to eventually get her back in the fight. Ceodore did about 4k damage with his attacks, with an occasional critical hit of around 8k.

Rydia’s summon did 10k+ and Palom was hitting for around 6k-7k per Flare. This was my longest fight at stage four and it wouldn’t have been a victory without Edward’s salve ability, which allowed everyone else to keep attacking while he kept the party healed.

After a moderately lengthy bout, we got the win. Another party is coming up next.

Destroying the creator part six

This party contains:

• Cecil – level 69
• Rosa – level 76
• Ceodore – level 84
• Cid – level 52
• Kain – level 70

With three powerful attackers and a high-level white mage, I assumed this group could probably beat the Creator on the first try. After mastering their bands, they were at level 71, 78, 86, 56, and 72.

After not getting any in the previous runs, I got two green tails in this one. As I expected, we cruised through the fight with the Creator.

This party’s big weapon: Vibra Prime, did a disappointing 56k+ damage, considering Vibra Plus, using just Cecil and Ceodore does 99,999, which I assume is the limit.

I also tried out Cid and Cecil’s maxed out Machine Break and it did about 15k. From there, I just hit all the versions of the Creator with Vibra Plus, Saint Dive, and Targeted Attack and healed with Rosa when needed.

I took down the final version of the Creator in just two rounds. Another party coming up next!

Party seven

The next party is:

• Rosa – level 78
• Porom – level 55
• Leonora – level 31
• Rydia – level 82
• Palom – level 70

This all mage group has two powerful white mages and two powerful black mages, plus Leonora who is mediocre at white and black magic and also pretty underleveled. It’s hard to predict how they will perform, though their high level offensive magic and ability to heal should put them in a good position.

They still have a ways to go on mastering their bands, as I wrap it up for the night. So this party will continue tomorrow.
