On day 59 of my Final Fantasy Marathon, I attempted to destroy the Creator with Leonora, Izayoi, Rydia, Rosa, and Harley. It didn’t work out, so today I’m leveling them up to take another shot.

Destroying the Creator part eight

I leveled the party to:

• Harley – 51
• Leonora – 58
• Rydia – 90
• Rosa – 86
• Izayoi – 53

They made it through the first two rounds but fell in the third. At level 55, 60, 91, 87, and 57, they finally got to the fourth round, helped out by Harley getting fast enough to toss a spider silk at the Creator in the third round.

However, they couldn’t heal fast enough to deal with the Creator’s ramped-up attacks late in the round and became the first group to get to the fourth round and then lose. At level 60, 64, 94, 90, and 62 they finally got the job done, but it was a chore.

With Rosa and Leonora having Curaja and Arise, plus Izayoi’s Heal Salve and a stockpile of X-potions and elixers, this party was well stocked with healing ability. However, they lacked firepower.

The Creator has a shifting weakness that causes it to absorb elemental attacks unless you use whatever it is weak to. Perhaps there is some trick to figuring that out I haven’t bothered to learn.

Piercing Sight did nothing and I don’t even remember if Libra is a thing in this game. Anyway, that left me with Rydia’s Meteor as the main attack, doing about 8k damage and then a little bit of extra from physical attacks, doing maybe 2k total.

Since the Creator can regenerate up to 9,999, that made for a very slow battle. However, I eventually outlasted it and got the win.
